Jamshaid Ashraf’s Contributions – Muslim Bedari Muhim
Muslim Bedari Muhim means Muslim Awareness Movement. This movement was started by Jamshaid Ashraf to spread truth and awareness amongst Muslims on how parties that call themselves secular have done nothing but use Muslims as a vote bank during elections, and then ignore them afterwards. Muslim Bedari Muhim’s goal is to spread this awareness, and make Muslims realise that we need to stand united, and cast our vote for development – because only through development can we achieve true secularism.
- The Illusion of Secularism: Since Independence, Muslims have been fooled by parties that wave the flag of secularism as a lure to get votes, but do nothing for Muslim uplifment. Even Sachhar committee’s and Justice Ranganathan’s report had stated that the Indian Muslims are in a worse off condition than the Mahadalits
- A clear example of this is that 15% of the Muslims were below poverty line (BPL) after Independence, whereas almost 45% of them are BPL today
- Muslim Bedari Muhim was started by Jamshaid Ashraf to spread awareness amongst Muslims that we should leave behind the fake debate of secularism versus communalism, and focus on development – education for our children, jobs for youngsters, clean water and a transparent government are far more important
- Through MBM, Jamshaid has visited dozens of districts at his own expense to spread this message, and continues to visit more. Additionally, he has also sent 4 vehicles with good educated young men to spread the message. All the vehicles are installed with external LED TVs, which play his recorded video to convey his message to all the villagers – greatly extending his reach. The target is to spread the awareness and truth to the Muslims, and get at least 1 lac Muslims to join BJP
- The reason he is doing this is because he truly believes and is 100% convinced that Mr. Narendra Modi will actually help the Muslims. Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of Muslims with a Quran in one hand and a computer in the other bodes well – sabka saath, sabka vikaas. By bringing the Muslims to back BJP, we can get representation as well as development, because only through development and education lies the path to true secularism
